Cayenne pepper is one of the most impressive foods available in terms of health and wellness.  I hear a lot of people, like my sister-in-law say “oh I can’t use cayenne pepper it gives me heartburn” or “it upsets my ulcer”.  But the irony of these statements is the fact that capsaicin, the main component of cayenne pepper has the most impressive healing attributes.

In this article I want to go over some of the truly impressive characteristics of incorporating cayenne pepper into your diet.

  • Cayenne pepper helps you to lose weight by improving digestion and stimulating the intestines to move food more quickly which aides the body to absorb more nutrients.  Cayenne pepper can actually increase your metabolism by 20%.  So if you need a jump start on revving up your metabolism there isn’t a cheaper or better way to do it.

Cayenne pepper is hot!  It can make your eyes water, irritate your mouth or even upset your stomach.  But capsaicin, the main compound in cayenne peppers torches fat cells away.

The hotter it is , the more fat-dissolving power it has.  Paprika is a more mild version that you can use if cayenne pepper isn’t your thing.
